2018 free agency rumors: Los Angeles Rams interested in WR Terrelle Pryor – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams saw WR Sammy Watkinssign with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency today, but they may have a plan to replace him already:

Yes, this is the Terrelle Pryor you’re thinking of, the former Ohio St. QB. Pryor made the transition to WR in the NFL after a few seasons as a QB. Initially, things went great as he exploded on the scene with the Cleveland Browns on his way to a 77 reception, 1,007 yard, four-touchdown season in 2016.

But 2017 was not as kind to Pryor. After not garnering much attention in free agency, he settled for a one year $8m dollar contract in Washington which led into a terrible season for Pryor. He netted only 20 receptions for 240 yards and a single touchdown. Pryor struggled with drops and ineffectiveness eventually being benched late in the year.

Where could he fit with the Rams? Well, he’s a 6’4” WR who has good deep speed and decent route running ability. If Pryor is added cheaply, he’ll be given a chance to battle for a roster spot. His veteran experience could see him land a role within the offense. Pryor will enter the season as a 29-year old.

Chances of signing: 4/10

I’m not sure there’s a reason to be heavily interested in Pryor. He just completed a bad season under Washington Head Coach Jay Gruden. Also, his skill set is very redundant to Rams WR Josh Reynolds who has much more untapped potential at this point in time.
