2019 LA Rams training camp: July 30 practice recap – Turf Show Times

Injuries

Once again, the Los Angeles Rams were lucky to escape with no injury news as it pertains to training camp thus far. After a veterans day off on July 29th, the squad got back to it with a fully padded practice today.

Offense

Have a look at QB Jared Goff sling a touchdown to TE Tyler Higbee:

Though we haven’t had a real opportunity to evaluate the newcomers along the offensive line yet (LG Joseph Noteboom and C Brian Allen), they seem to be coming along just fine:

The offense will get its real first “test” later this week when they face an unfamiliar opponent in the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers have a fantastic defensive line that consists of edge rushers Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, as well as interior rushers Jerry Tillery and Brandon Mebane. Get ready for some sparks, folks.

Defense

Most of us probably don’t remember what it’s like to see two-time consecutive Defensive Player of the Year award winner DT Aaron Donald at training camp, but he looks to have picked up right where he left off in 2018:

It’s also good to see arguably the weakest position on the roster (edge) get some work prior (and post) practice every day now. Dante Fowler Jr specifically has been honing his craft, typically versus RT Rob Havenstein:

Coming out of practice injury-free is the first goal, so the Rams have done well thus far. The work continues in preparation of the joint practices with the Chargers.
