Giants CB Janoris Jenkins suspended for Week 9, will miss game against LA Rams – Turf Show Times

Headed into Week 9, the Los Angeles Rams were set to face one of the league’s most disappointing teams in the New York Giants. After having lost so many pieces to injury such as WR Odell Beckham, Jr., and WR Brandon Marshall, the G-men have taken another hit…albeit voluntarily.

Former Rams CB Janoris Jenkins has been suspended by the team for violating team rules:

Now, it’s not exactly known what transgression occurred, but this does bode very well for a 5-2 Rams team looking to come out of their bye week in good fashion headed towards the hardest part of their schedule.

Jenkins was a second round pick by former Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher and current General Manager Les Snead in the 2012 NFL Draft. Notoriously known for his affinity for big plays, Jenkins had five defensive touchdowns for the Rams in a four-year span (2012-2015). The Rams chose to keep fellow draftmate CB Trumaine Johnson instead during the 2016 offseason, which allowed the Giants to swoop in and sign Jenkins.

This likely lightens the matchup for Jared Goff and the Rams’ passing offense (see: Sammy Watkins).
