LA Rams, Baltimore Ravens to hold joint practices in August – Turf … – Turf Show Times

Per the Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Zrebiec, the Los Angeles Rams will hold a joint practice with the Baltimore Ravens prior to their 2018 preseason opener:

While the Rams kick off their preseason schedule playing the Ravens on August 9, it will be the second game for Baltimore who will be playing in the Hall of Fame Game against the Chicago Bears on Thursday, August 2nd.

Last season, the Rams and Los Angeles Chargers spent their first season together in LA holding joint practices together at each team’s respective temporary home field. In 2015, the Rams and Dallas Cowboys held joint practices together that resulted in brawls between the teams.

Speaking of brawls, there’s one that’s going to be top of the mind for a joint practice between the Rams and Ravens…

Yes, Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib and Oakland Raiders WR Michael Crabtree have squared off twice before. Now that Talib is a Ram and Crabtree a Raven, will the two go at it either in practice or in their preseason contest? Will the beef be squashed?

Suffice to say, the NFL landscape will be paying much more attention to this practice than a normal one. Which of course is what the Rams are hoping for: attention to what’s shaping up to be a season of exceptional expectations.
