LA Rams versus Dallas Cowboys: Highlight/Lowlight – Turf Show Times

The magical season for the Los Angeles Rams is extended by another week after knocking off the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Divisional round of the playoffs.

The Rams made it a point to establish the run. Once the Cowboys showed an inability to do anything about it, the Rams literally rode it into the ground.

Let’s take a look at the highlight and lowlight of the game:

It’s hard to tell from this broadcast angle who was mainly responsible for this coverage bust, but it seems like it was between CB Marcus Peters and FS Lamarcus Joyner. Neither of these two players had good games as Joyner was also burned on a long touchdown catch by WR Amari Cooper and Peters was routinely lined up 10-yards off the line because of his propensity for getting burned. Peters had an awful rep versus Michael Gallup where he surrendered the easiest 15-yard catch you’ll see, which he then proceeded to miss the tackle on. As for this play above, it was a killer because the Rams had the Cowboys up against the wall on a 1st-and-20 right after DT Aaron Donald drew a hold. It was all for naught with a great play from QB Dak Prescott, which lead directly to seven points for the Cowboys.

Everything about this play was perfect. The offensive line absolutely mauled the Cowboys’ defensive line opening the biggest hole you’ll ever see. RB Todd Gurley literally went untouched for a 35-yard touchdown, with his only effort coming on taking a good angle to hit the corner pylon when he reached the second level.
