Los Angeles Rams rookie report card: First-year Rams starting to show up in numbers – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams are 6-0 for the first time since 2001 after defeating the Denver Broncos 23-20 at the Mile High Stadium.

The star of the snowy game was running back Todd Gurley. the fourth-year back pounded the Broncos’ defense to the tune of 208 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.

Here’s how the rookies fared.

Report Card

WR JoJo Natson

JoJo has handled the punt returning duties since Pharoh Cooper went down, and handled them he has.

Grade: C-

DE/OLB John Franklin-Myers

John played in 30 snaps this week against the Broncos, partly due to the loss of Matt Longacre to injury. Getting to the quarterback — Franklin-Myers did record a QB hit — still remains an issue. It will be something the OLBs need to improve vastly on.

Grade: C

ILB Micah Kiser

Kiser has instilled himself as a stalwart on Special Teams.

Grade: C-

OT Joseph Noteboom

Noteboom finally received some spot playing time, filling in for a few snaps at left tackle while Big Whit took a short breather.

Based on the eye test, Joe struggled in his few opportunities. He was in on running plays, and Gurley barely was able to get past the first-down marker.

Building up strength should be one of Noteboom’s focuses, it will allow him to hold up against bigger opposition.

Grade: D

EDGE Justin Lawler

With Matt Longacre out, Lawler filled in on 12 snaps on defense. He registered a solo tackle.

Grade: C-

EDGE Trevon Young

Trevon found himself on the pre-game inactives list yet again.

Grade: N/A Incomplete

C Brian Allen

Allen found himself as a victim of the numbers game; a game time inactive.

Grade: N/A Incomplete

EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo

PUP List for my boy Obo.

Grade: N/A Incomplete

RB John Kelly

Running Back room too skrong! So, have a seat, young fella! Game time inactive.

Grade: N/A Incomplete

DL Sebastian Joseph-Day

Suh, Donald, Brockers. When those dudes are in your starting D-Line… yea you ain’t getting PT, homie.

Grade: N/A Incomplete

WR KhaDarel Hodge

Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks both returned from the concussion protocol, rendering Hodge’s services futile.

Grade: N/A Incomplete

That does it for this week folks! The Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers next week!
