Los Angeles Rams vs. Minnesota Vikings: Intermediate injury report hard to parse without practice – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams head into Week 4 on Thursday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings with a relatively lengthy injury report:

2018 LA Rams Week 4 injury report

Name POS Injury Mon. Status Tue. Status
Name POS Injury Mon. Status Tue. Status
Mark Barron ILB Ankle DNP DNP
Greg Zuerlein K Groin DNP DNP
JoJo Natson WR Hand DNP DNP
Dominique Easley DL Knee DNP DNP
Marcus Peters CB Calf DNP DNP
Aqib Talib CB Ankle DNP DNP

The key here is that the team didn’t practice on Monday and only held a walkthrough today, so the injury notations here are hypothetical. Here was how Rams Head Coach Sean McVay put it:

It’s a little bit more difficult because we’re walking-thru. So, in terms of the physical toll where you can get a little bit better gauge, it’s a little bit different in this short week.

It’s just the difference between a guy testing his injury and whether or not he can put weight on an injury and how close to 100% he feels versus, well, not doing that.

In any case, tomorrow’s really all that matters for DL Dominque Easley, CB Marcus Peters and perhaps even ILB Mark Barron. I’d guess that all miss with Easley being the closest to play, but we’ll see.

Minnesota had a full practice today, so their report offers more clarity:

Here’s what our good friends at Daily Norseman had to say:

Starting left tackle Riley Reiff did not practice for the Vikings on Tuesday. If Reiff can’t go for the Vikings, they suddenly have a huge problem on the offensive line against one of the best front lines in the NFL. (Well, as opposed to the huge problems they already have. . .missing Reiff would be a ridiculously huge problem as opposed to just a moderately huge problem.) I’m not sure what Plan B at left tackle is at this point. It could be Rashod Hill, who has played there in the past. It could be Mike Remmers, who has also played there in the past. If it’s Hill, one would have to assume that rookie Brian O’Neill, who has actually been solid in relief the couple of times he played this year, would start at right tackle. If it’s Remmers, I don’t know how the Vikings would configure things.

In addition, running back Dalvin Cook was a limited participant in practice today. He missed the Buffalo game with a hamstring issue, but it was thought that he’d be ready for this one. On the bright side, cornerback Trae Waynes was a full participant in today’s practice after suffering an ankle injury against Buffalo.
