Memphis Tigers RB Darrell Henderson visits LA Rams – Turf Show Times

If you’re part of the “RB Todd Gurley is completely fine” group, close your eyes, because this one could confuse you. As we continue along with the pre-draft visits, the Los Angeles Rams brought in Memphis Tigers RB Darrell Henderson for a visit, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport:

The head-scratching part of this visit isn’t that the Rams think they could fortify their running back room, it’s that Henderson has been hyped up as a potential first-round draft selection. Now, to preface any other information, I’m confident the Rams will not select a running back in the first round, or even with their top pick in the event of a trade down.

Regardless, Henderson racked up 431 rushing attempts, 3,545 rushing yards, 36 touchdowns, 63 receptions, 758 receiving yards, and eight receiving touchdowns in three seasons at Memphis. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has the diminutive runner compared to former Atlanta Falcons RB and current San Francisco 49ers RB, Tevin Coleman.

This is a strange development for a team who was telling us Todd Gurley was completely fine and healthy this entire time, though it could also lead to nothing at all. Only time will tell.
