NFL free agency: LA Rams to re-sign Dominique Easley on a 1-year … – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams added depth along their defensive front on Monday morning, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the team is brining back Dominique Easley on a one-year deal. Terms of the contract have yet to be released.

After having a productive first (2016) season with the Rams, Easley suffered a torn ACL in training camp last year, forcing the team to have to put him on the shelf before the season even began.

It’s never been about lack of talent with the former first-round draft pick. Unfortunately, he’s suffered three torn ACL injuries dating back to his days in college at Florida. Easley just turned 26 years old in February, but despite entering his fifth season in the league has only played in 38 games (starting three), with 2016 being the only year in which he played the full slate.

The Rams certainly need help along their defensive front, and it seems a good bet that Easley will be returning on a very team-friendly deal. Here’s to hoping he’s able to stay healthy for all 16.
