NFL Week 3 Vegas expert picks and predictions: Ravens, Bengals cover – CBSSports.com

When you’re looking for advice on who to pick on game day in the NFL, nobody beats R.J. White. In fact, if you placed $100 on each of R.J. White’s NFL picks last season, you would have won nearly $2,000. Smart bettors tail his selections. He also cashed big last season in the world’s most prestigious handicapping tournament, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest, tying for 18th out of 2,748 contestants with a 52-29-4 mark against the spread. It wasn’t a fluke, either, as he also cashed big-time in the 2015 SuperContest. Now, he’s back and ready to crush his SuperContest selections again in 2018.

Using the Las Vegas SuperContest lines for Week 3, we can tell you White loves the Ravens (-5.5) at home against the Broncos.

“The Broncos are 2-0, but found themselves trailing in the fourth quarter of each win,” White told SportsLine. “Both came at home, and they were favored in each game. Now they head on the road to face a potential playoff contender with a plus coach that’s on extra rest. Case Keenum hasn’t looked great so far, and neither has the Broncos’ pass defense. I’d make the line at least Ravens -6 and think they win by a touchdown or more.”

And a massive shocker: White is backing the Bengals (+3) to cover against the Carolina Panthers on the road.

“The offensive line for Carolina is ravaged by injury, which isn’t good news against a talented Cincinnati pass rush,” White said. “The Bengals have given up a ton of yards on defense but make offenses work for it, ranking ninth in net yards per pass attempt and second in yards per rush. The Cincy O-line has also been much improved, allowing just two sacks through two games. Vegas sees these teams as even, but I have the Bengals as better.”

White also is calling for a road favorite to get absolutely shocked on Sunday. And who it is may surprise you.
