NFL Week 9 Vegas expert picks and predictions: Seahawks, Broncos cover – CBSSports.com

When you’re looking for advice on who to pick on game day in the NFL, nobody beats R.J. White. In fact, if you placed $100 on each of R.J. White’s NFL picks last season, you would have won nearly $2,000. Smart bettors tail his selections. He also cashed big last season in the world’s most prestigious handicapping tournament, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest, tying for 18th out of 2,748 contestants with a strong 52-29-4 mark on against the spread picks. It wasn’t a fluke, either, as he also cashed big-time in the 2015 SuperContest. Now, he’s back and ready to crush his NFL picks again in 2018.

Using the Las Vegas SuperContest lines for Week 9, we can tell you White loves the Seahawks (-2) at home against the Chargers.

“The stats love the Chargers, but you can’t go against Seattle at home with how well the team is playing right now,” White told SportsLine. “The Seahawks have had just two home games this year, yet sit with a 4-3 record and winners of four of their last five games. Seattle is also 12-0 at home against AFC teams since drafting Russell Wilson. The Chargers, meanwhile, remain without Joey Bosa, and his absence has them struggling to generate pressure on QBs. Seahawks cover.”

And a massive shocker: White is backing the Broncos (-1) to cover against the Texans.

“The Texans have won five straight, but none of the teams they beat currently has a winning record,” White told SportsLine. “Yes, the Broncos are another bad team on the surface, but they also have the seventh-best DVOA in football (while Houston ranks 12th) and a great home-field advantage. The Broncos also have a pair of pass-rush weapons on the edge and they should eat up the Texans’ below-average offensive line.”

White also is calling for a home favorite to get absolutely shocked on Sunday. And who it is will surprise you.

So who else is White backing in Week 9? And which underdog shocks the NFLVisit SportsLine now to see who you should back in Week 9, plus see which underdog is going to shock the world, all from the expert who keeps crushing the world’s most prestigious handicapping tournament.
