TB Buccaneers sign former LA Rams DT Ndamukong Suh – Turf Show Times

The signing of DT Ndamukong Suh turned out to be a one year rental, which was expected. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cut DT Gerald McCoy — the third overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft — yesterday, and signed Suh — the second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft — to a one year deal today:

Suh proved to be a worthy addition as his play in the season was solid, though his play in the playoffs escalated to an elite level. His 2018 stats were: 59 tackles, four tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, four pass deflections, 19 QB hits, and two fumble recoveries.

Ironically enough, Suh’s lengthy wait as a free agent means the Los Angeles Rams are not entitled to a compensatory pick, though another option could arise. McCoy was available for trade all offseason, though his massive contract (which was worth roughly $14m per year) was never going to be something teams were interested in. Now that he’s free and apparently interested in ring-chasing, could the Rams be an option for the potential future Hall-of-Famer?
