The Los Angeles Rams offense were high flyers last season becoming known for having one of the top offensive minds in first-year Head Coach Sean McVay.
This season could end up being a better season for team as they acquired and extended speedster WR Brandin Cooks to go along a roster that includes RB Todd Gurley and WR Robert Woods. Rookie Cooper Kupp had an amazing rookie season for the Rams, but he was not the only rookie wideout that the Rams drafted.
Josh Reynolds did not produce much in his rookie campaign but he does have potential as the 117th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Roster Battle
There are three starting wide receivers on the Rams and none of them is Reynolds.
As far as the other receivers go, the list includes Pro Bowl returner Pharoh Cooper, Mike Thomas and some more names that figure to have a tough time to crack the 53-man roster.
Reynolds should be listed as the fourth wide receiver on the depth chart, and I would imagine that he is more than likely only considered an outside receiver.
Expectations
Regardless of injury he should be able to eclipse his rookie production of 11 receptions, 104 receiving yards and a score. There is a chance that the Rams rely on his route running ability and catching radius in the red zone and on short yardage plays.
I do believe that the ideal situation for him would be to replace Woods as a starter in the next couple of seasons or after Woods contract runs out in 2021.
Chances of Making Final Roster (8.5/10)
Not only does Reynolds have the potential to develop into a solid number two wide receiver, but he also helps on special teams. That will be a key trait for him until he improves enough to only play on offense.
