Let’s face the facts here. Aaron Donald is the best defensive player in the NFL. Heck, he might be the best player on either side of the ball. He dominates the opposition, and there’s very little that can be done to slow down a defensive tackle – who is destined to become the league’s next highest-paid non-quarterback – from living in the opposition’s backfield.
Well, there might be one thing. And he’s aware of it.
Aaron Donald is back at home in Pittsburgh, PA training with DeWayne Brown of Two Tenths Speed and Agility. But these training sessions are from your run-of-the-mill drills with cones, ladders, and tackle dummies. No sir, they’re using cutlery.
Brown posted videos on twitter on Sunday of Donald, amongst others, training at his facility.
It remains to be seen whether or not this proves a sound tactic for thwarting Aaron Donald & Co. from destroying opposing quarterbacks in 2018, but he appears unintimidated, and unfazed, by the use of weaponry.
