The Los Angeles Rams made an anticipated move today, as they waived OL Jamil Demby to make room for reigning defensive player of the year Aaron Donald on the active roster.
The Rams had previously waived defensive back Isaiah Johnson to make room for Donald on the 53 man roster, but he was still officially slotted to the roster exemption that the Rams obtained from the NFL after he signed his mega-deal last week.
While only a technicality, it’s an important move for the Rams as it formally shows that Donald will be on the active roster and will play Monday night against the Oakland Raiders. Rams head coach Sean McVay indicated that Donald will not be on a snap count and is a full go for week 1.
Get hyped Rams fans, because you’re going to finally going to see the reigning defensive player of the year line up beside Ndomakong Suh and Michael Brockers.
