Los Angeles Rams vs. Los Angeles Chargers: Intermediate injury report puts eyes on Friday – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams are looking solid on the health front headed into Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers:

Andrew Whitworth OT Not Injury Related DNP Full
Michael Brockers DL Shoulder DNP Limited
John Sullivan C Ankle DNP DNP
Mark Barron ILB Ankle DNP DNP
Greg Zuerlein K Groin DNP DNP

Normally, I’d have some concern over DL Michael Brockers and C John Sullivan, but HC Sean McVay sounded none too worried today:

It’s more just maintenance with these guys. They were a little banged up from a physical game the other day. We want to do everything we can to get them feeling as good as possible for Sunday, but it’s not anything that we expect to affect their ability and availability on Sunday. It’s just more kind of being safe.

So hopefully they’re a full go on Sunday and no worse for wear. With LT Andrew Whitworth back in action, that leaves just K Greg Zuerlein and ILB Mark Barron off the line. Zuerlein will need another couple of weeks at a minimum. As for Barron, there’s been no real sense of his timeline, but last week in the final injury report he was upgraded from OUT to DOUBTFUL. I think the question will be if he can participate tomorrow. Otherwise, I’d expect him to be DOUBTFUL at best again.

But let’s see.

Meanwhile, the Chargers have their own issues:

Interested to see what we get tomorrow. With WR Travis Benjamin out today, there’s a good chance he could be a no go on Sunday joining DE Joey Bosa and RT Joe Barksdale unavailable. As for TE Antonio Gates, not sure what the illness is but Chargers Head Coach Anthony Lynn said he was “under the weather” again today. We’ll see how it looks heading into the weekend.
