Well, in what was the most expected move, the Los Angeles Rams will likely be missing star CB Marcus Peters for tonight’s game on Thursday Night Football:
Rams’ CB Marcus Peters, listed as questionable with a calf injury, is unlikely to play tonight, per source. Rams then would be without both starting CBs, Peters and Aqib Talib, who is undergoing ankle surgery today.

This was expected as the Rams dodged a major bullet. Peters’ injury seemed much more severe when it occurred, though things point to minimal missed time and a quick recovery.
With the recent injury to CB Aqib Talib being much worse than initially believed, this is much welcomed news. Talib was placed on injured reserve meaning he’ll miss a minimum of eight games.
With the top two cornerbacks on the Rams’ depth chart injured, look for nickel CB Nickell Robey-Coleman and Sam Shields to be the starters in base defense. CB’s Troy Hill and recently brought-up Dominique Hatfield will be counted on too. Lastly, expect to see some movement from safeties Lamarcus Joyner and Blake Countess too.
Stay tuned for the confirmation later when inactives are released.
