As the Los Angeles Rams get ready to take on the Washington Team With A Name in Week 2, there’s an interesting duality coming out of the injury reports.
Here’s the Los Angeles Rams’ side:

So the Rams are down one starting cornerback and Washington is down one key contributor at wide receiver.
Both injuries offer legitimate concerns albeit for different reasons.
For the Rams, it’s position depth…or the lack thereof. If CB Kayvon Webster misses on Sunday with CB Troy Hill serving the last game in his two-game suspension, the Rams are looking for fill-in work from either CB Blake Countess or CB Dominique Hatfield.
For Washington, that prospect may carry one less option to exploit if WR Josh Doctson is unavailable. And while position depth isn’t a concern there, Doctson’s general physical readiness is. The 22nd overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Doctson missed the 2016 preseason and 14 games with injuries to his Achilles tendon. So to see him struggling with a lower body injury again is going to make Washington fans understandably uncomfortable.
One team possibly down a corner. One team possibly down a wideout.
The Football Gods want this the McBae Bowl to start off balanced in more ways than one.
