Game Recap
The Rams won the last time they met up with San Francisco, and they shouldn’t regret having come to the reunion, either. The Rams wrapped up 2018 with a 48-32 victory over San Francisco. The success made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.
The Rams’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of C.J. Anderson, who rushed for 132 yards and 1 touchdown on 23 carries, and Jared Goff, who passed for 199 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jared Goff ended up with a passer rating of 121.6. The Rams’ Cory Littleton got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the second quarter into a touchdown.
San Francisco’s defeat shouldn’t obscure the performances of Alfred Morris, who rushed for 111 yards and 1 touchdown on 16 carries, and George Kittle, who caught 9 passes for 149 yards and 1 touchdown. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Morris has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
The win bumped the Rams’ record up to 13-3. This is the second loss in a row for San Francisco and nudges their record down to 4-12. These squads have both wrapped up their regular seasons.
