There are a lot of good veteran receivers being talked about as possible trade targets around the league, so could the Rams possibly add one?
In short, it seems pretty unlikely — especially given the way McVay answered the question.
“[W]e feel really good about the core group that we do have,” McVay said. “I think when you look at the leadership that Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods provided for us, and the production, you love being around those types of players. Certainly Cooper Kupp is a special player with what he was doing in his second year, the maturation, the ability where I thought he played faster this year. He’s got a great feel for the game. And then Josh Reynolds, the way he was able to step up. So when you just talk about those four guys as your core, you feel really good about them. And those are the types of players that are always going to get better.”
