If you play well, you’ll be rewarded. According to Adam Schefter, the Los Angeles Rams have agreed to give WR Robert Woods a “true” pay raise by adding $1m to his $7.17m cap hit in 2019, as well as a fully guaranteed $2m in new money in 2020:
Rams agreed to give WR Robert Woods a raise for this season, adding an additional $1 million to 2019 Base Salary, and fully guaranteed a new $2 million Roster Bonus for next year, per source, without adding any new years added to the deal. A true raise.

This is a classy move by the Rams as Woods is on one of the best bargain contracts in the entire league charging the Rams only $8.17m, $9.17m, and $9.17m over the next three years when taking into account the raise (Spotrac values).
Woods is coming off the most productive season of his career as he registered 86 receptions for 1,219 receiving yards and six touchdowns, adding another 157 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
The connection between QB Jared Goff and Woods is evident, and the Rams are smart to keep one of their star weapons happy by adding in some extra money.
