After losing to Detroit the last time they met, the Rams decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rams came out on top against Detroit by a score of 30-16 on Sunday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who now have three in a row.
No one put up better numbers for the Rams than Todd Gurley, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns on 23 carries. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse John Johnson, who racked up nine tackles.
That wasn’t the only action on the defensive side of the ball. The defense made life painful for the QB and embarrassed Detroit’s offensive line for a total of four sacks. Leading the way was Aaron Donald and his two sacks.
The Rams’s win brought them up to 11-1. This is the second loss in a row for Detroit and nudges their record down to 4-8.
The Rams will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Chicago. Chicago took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse the Rams’s good fortune. As for Detroit, they will go up against Arizona.
