Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Rams fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
Last week’s FanPulse looked at:
- The Rams’ Week 1 game against the Oakland Raiders
- Current confidence level in the direction of the team
- The worst NFL rule entering the 2018 season
And after a 33-13 win with an absolutely dominant second half, obviously fans are going to be pumped for the next challenge. That’s absolutely clear in this week’s FanPulse that tugs at:
- Updated current confidence level in the direction of the team
- Predicted victory margin in Week 2
- Which position behind quarterback is the most important to an offense
How confident are you in the direction of the team?
Last week: 100 percent confidence
As I mentioned, preseason expectations + second half performance = unanimity. The real question is what would peel things off. Obviously, a loss would to a degree. But if the Rams get through this week with a home win and win one of the next two games (home against the Los Angeles Chargers and home against the Minnesota Vikings), would anyone not feel confident in the direction of the team at 3-1? Could the caliber of performance therein seriously be enough to affect fan sentiment here?
I just feel like unless the Rams stack up a pair of losses early, we’re all going to be sitting on the same side of this seesaw.
Will the Rams win or lose in Week 2?
Odds: Rams are 14-point favorites
Revenge Of The Birds FanPulse: Rams by 10
Turf Show Times FanPulse: Rams by 14
Lofty bar being set…
The Rams were marginal favorites a week ago and played that out in the first half before taking over in the second and leaving a 20-point gap. With a much bigger difference expected, the Rams will certainly have much to show the home crowd on Sunday. And they likely won’t be able to wait until the 3rd quarter to get it going if they’re going to keep up this consensus.
Other than QB, what is most valuable to an NFL offense?
So this one was across all 32 fan bases and not just TST, but…
But…my goodness…
20%?! 20% of yall would put a running back behind the wide receiver position?!
For shame!
