Former Bulldogs Todd Gurley and Alec Ogletree named LA Rams captains for 2017 season – DawgNation

Todd Gurley and Alec Ogletree both starred at Georgia in recent years before the Rams drafted both of the former Bulldogs, and now each of them have a big honor with the team.

The Los Angeles Rams named the running back and linebacker, both former first round picks, as two of the team’s six captains for the 2017 season.

While still in St. Louis, the Rams drafted Ogletree out of Georgia 30th overall in the 2013 draft and Gurley with the tenth-overall pick in 2015.

Ogletree made the 2013 All-Rookie team with the Rams and was a second-team AP All-Pro in 2016. He was also an alternate selection for the Pro Bowl last season.

Gurley came back from a season-ending injury at the end of his Georgia career to win Rookie of the Year in 2015, making the Rams bold selection of him so high in the first round pay off. He also made the Pro Bowl in that rookie season.
