Since the Los Angeles Ramstraded away CB E.J. Gaines to the Buffalo Bills for WR Sammy Watkins, a hole has opened up in the secondary. It looks like the Rams may look to the free agent market to fill it.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has reported the Rams will workout former Bills and Philadelphia Eagles CB Leodis McKelvin:
Former #Eagles CB Leodis McKelvin is headed to LA today for a visit and workout with the #Rams tomorrow, per @EnterSportsMgmt.

This is interesting for multiple reasons.
First? McKelvin played eight seasons for the Bills, only adding to this seemingly never-ending collection of former Bills players and coaches that the Rams keep adding.
Second? Well, with Gaines in New York, many expected cornerbacks like Troy Hill and Mike Jordan to benefit from the move. These may still remain true, but the Rams are clearly thinking ahead. Hill was probably the first option, but he is suspended for the first two games of the season. I doubt the Rams enter the regular season with only UDFAs as depth at the CB position.
So even with Jordan having a great showing in week one of the preseason along with others who looked impressive throughout camp and the game (Kevin Peterson, Aarion Penton), the Rams may be interested in adding a veteran presence as insurance just in-case something where to happen from now until Hill returns.
