LA Rams activate EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, waive LB Trevon … – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams have activated rookie EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo from the 21-day window following his time on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft with the 160th overall pick, Obo broke his foot in organized team activities before training camp even got going. So outside of the last few weeks in practice, this is the first time he’s been a full participant in full team activities as he broke his foot before organized team activities in May.

I’m not sure how much opportunity he’ll have for playing time now that the Rams have brought in Dante Fowler Jr. via a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. At least he’ll have the opportunity for snaps and to grow into his NFL career instead of being excluded and only able to observe from afar.

To make room for his activation, the Rams waived rookie OLB Trevon Young, the 205th overall pick from the sixth round of this year’s draft.
