It sounds like Los Angeles Rams Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips could be a happy man come draft time in April. The Rams have met with multiple pass rushers such as Notre Dame Fighting Irish defensive tackle Jerry Tillery, Mississipe State Bulldogs edge Montez Sweat, and Florida Gators edge Jachai Polite:
FYI: Mississippi St. DE Montez Sweat told me he met with the #Rams this week. Enjoyed talking to Sean McVay and Wade Phillips and feels he’s a fit for the 3-4 or 4-3 scheme.

Another DL the #Rams met with formally: Notre Dame’s Jerry Tillery. Told me he could definitely see himself fitting in in L.A with the #Rams.

Jerry Tillery is an intriguing prospect who would play the 5-technique role (DE) in base downs and kick inside to defensive tackle in passing situations. Tillery is a light-yet-long (6’6” 4/8, 295 lbs, 34” 2/8 arms) interior defensive line player who excels as a pass rusher. Tillery can become a liability against the run, but he’ll be drafted on account of his tremendous hand usage and instant pass-rush ability.
Montez Sweat on the other hand is strictly going to be an edge rusher and weighed in at 6’5” 6/8, 260 lbs, and 35” 6/8 long arms. Sweat is a stiff rusher off the edge who’s strong and has a tremendous physical mold to work with.
By the looks of it thus far, the Rams are going to give defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Wade Phillips all the help they need to get back to another Super Bowl.
