Los Angeles Rams 35, New Orleans Saints 45 game recap: Validation – Turf Show Times

The Los Angeles Rams came up short today on the road against a very good New Orleans Saints team.

The score doesn’t matter. The outcome doesn’t really either if you look at the context.

These were two damn good teams battling it out. And neither team is going to win every single one of these. This sports isn’t set up this way.

And look at the bright side. The Rams get to learn from this adversity. They can take away lessons from this to apply to the playoffs when we might well see this Saints team in a much more important rematch. QB Jared Goff played very well. The O-line was spectacular throughout. And the defense fought to get the team back into the game after halftime despite having a bad game overall against, let’s be fair, a very good offensive Saints team.

There’s not a ton of reason to feel bad about this.

The Rams game into this game 8-0 for the first time since the 1960s. They fought to put up a hell of a show against one of the league’s best.

The goal was never to go 16-0. And this loss might have helped the 2018 LA Rams reach their goal moreso than a win would have.

Onward and upward.
