Los Angeles Rams at Detroit Lions: Highlight/Lowlight – Turf Show Times

In what turned out to be a relatively ugly and slow game, the Los Angeles Rams notched another “W” on the schedule improving their record to 11-1. The Detroit Lions on the other hand are a struggling and injury-riddled team that’s now sitting at a crossroads at 4-8.

Let’s take a look at the highlight and lowlight of the game:

Most might go with the interception into triple coverage here, but I’m going to go with this play. It’s a simple play, which is why it’s confusing how the defense is still having communication issues. TE Levine Toilolo had 60 yards receiving on the season prior to yesterday. The duo of ILB Cory Littleton and SS John Johnson III allowed him four receptions for 90 yards just on Sunday. On this play, Toilolo is going right up the seam and Littleton doesn’t even bother to follow him up the seam. Pitch and catch for the Lions when the Rams had a chance to essentially put the game away.

It doesn’t get better than this. On this snap, Aaron Donald is double teamed, splits the double team, chases down QB Matt Stafford, lunges at him to secure the sack, and actually forces the fumble with the Rams recovering it. As you can see, this was a pivotal play in the game with the Rams only up three points and nearing the end of the game. This play all but sealed a Rams win.
