As the activity picked up on day 2 of the NFL’s legal tampering period, the Los Angeles Rams saw another player leave via free agency. After Sammy Watkins upped with theKansas City Chiefs and Derek Carrier went to the Oakland Raiders to unite with Jon Gruden, the Rams managed to re-up own of their own with Nickell Robey-Coleman.
Although it was quite clear that CB Trumaine Johnson was leaving, the question was where.
Now…. we know.
A somewhat darkhorse team, the New York Jets have signed Trumaine Johnson. Many thought the Browns, Texans, Cowboys, and Raiders were the front-runners but the Jets have won the Johnson pursuit by giving him big money.
The #Jets are expected to sign CB Trumaine Johnson to a deal worth roughly $15M per year, source said.

Thank you Trumaine Johnson for playing so hard and well for the Rams. At the end of the day, it’s a business.
Thank you for helping the Rams get back to where us fans wanted them to be and good luck in the Big Apple with Janoris Jenkins.
