Los Angeles Rams training camp Week 1 recap – Turf Show Times

With most of the drama regarding the Los Angeles Rams happening off the field with Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff making it seem like Aaron Donald won’t be signed before the season begins, there were still some other subjects to talk about.

The 53-man roster is slowly taking shape! Here are some top storylines to chew on:

What does this tweet mean? Who knows. But the Donald drama ain’t going away anytime soon.

10 observations from Day 7 of training camp | Rams official site

Rams insider Myles Simmons had some interesting takes on training camp. Jared Goff had a beauty of a throw to WR Mike Thomas and Todd Gurley showed that he’s the leader of the team by staying after practice to get some more cardio. And I love this nugget about DL Michael Brockers, who I think is primed to have his best season this year.

Before practice began, defensive lineman Michael Brockers was out on the field with a few of Los Angeles’ younger players at his position like Tanzel Smart, Chunky Clements, Sebastian Joseph-Day, and Omarius Bryant. Brockers led the group in some technique work, helping each of the young linemen improve on their moves at the line of scrimmage.

TE Tyler Higbee stands out early in training camp | ESPN

Keep on eye on TE Tyler Higbee. He’s been on the same page as QB Jared Goff for a while now (roommates!) and this could be the year he breaks out.

Rams TE Gerald Everett Injures shoulder | Rams Wire

The severity is unclear, but best wishes to Young Gerald’s shoulder.

Other Rams were dinged up a little bit this week. Nothing too serious, but I don’t like the phrase “Achillels soreness” connected to a Rams’ player, especially to a difference maker like S Lamarcus Joyner.

Rams say goodbye to their blueberry uniforms | Rams official site

The LA Rams are going to wear their throwbacks five times this season and with a combination of their color rush jerseys, they’ll be able to evade their embarrassing uni combo that made them look like dorks last season. Speaking of dorks, you can now print out a uniform schedule and put it in your wallet!

Big money means bigger expectations for Todd Gurley | ESPN

First off, RB Todd Gurley II is now a Ram for a while and that’s pretty good! But is it all good?
