Los Angeles Rams training camp week 2 recap – Turf Show Times

Rams practice with Ravens

There was some talk that CB Aqib Talib and WR Michael Crabtree would continue their chain-inspired rivalry, but all ended up being pretty professional between the two teams.

However, there was still some tension, but that’s football, right? | Rams Wire

And a lot of Rams’ players have been taking it easy in camp so far.

Yet when the starters for the Rams defense did show up on the field, they yielded positive results.

Jared Goff steps up

QB Jared Goff has been strong in training camp this week, with some pointing out that he had his best practice as a Ram. As you know, the development of Jared Goff has been the true narrative this offseason for the Los Angeles Rams.

Sean Mannion doesn’t even look like a backup QB

The reaction to QB Sean Mannion’s play in the first preseason game of the season has been loud and panicky.

Rookies in the mix

If you watched the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, you most likely were impressed by rookie RB John Kelly. But the past week in camp had several positive moments for the rookie class that includes OT Joseph Noteboom and LB Justin Lawler. Lawler has been getting a bunch of snaps in camp so far and the guy has an impressive motor, so keep an eye on him.

Also, LB Tegray Scales was very active in the preseason game, grabbing 4 solo tackles.

With the absence of OL Jamon Brown for the first two games of the season, Joseph Noteboom has a chance to impress in these preseason games and just might get the start. Fellow rookie OT Jamil Demby has also showed flashes of brilliance in camp — so don’t forget about him.

Misc. Rams’ stories

Rams Wire had a piece in which Todd Gurley made it clear again that he’s not a fan of playing in the preseason. I feel ya’, Todd.

WR Cooper Kupp still gets hype because he deserves it.

And in case you missed it, we got a roster bubble happening over here, folks!
