Clay Matthews III is coming home.
The former Agoura High football star, who graduated in 2003, is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams, who have their headquarters in Agoura and practice in Thousand Oaks.
Matthews walked on at USC before winning Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers. The 32-year-old tweeted a photoshopped picture of himself Tuesday night in a No. 52 Rams jersey in front of the Hollywood sign.
Matthews, the Packers’ career sack leader with 83.5 in ten seasons, registered a career-low 3.5 sacks in 16 games last season. The Packers have not made the playoffs the past two seasons.
