FIRST-ROUND TARGETS

If Thiry’s prediction falls short and the Rams do use their first-round pick at No. 31, Forbes’ Jay Paris has a short list of prospects who could fall to the late first round — addressing needs on the offensive and defensive lines.

Center/guard Erik McCoy of Texas A&M offers versatility and has an attitude that translates to the NFL.

Tackle/guard Cody Ford of Oklahoma didn’t shine at the NFL Combine, which might allow him to slip to No. 31. While he played tackle last year for the Sooners, the Rams see him as more of a guard.

Defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons of Mississippi State has the speed and power to contribute at the next level. Composure is often an issue, but not his skill-set.
