REMAINING NEED
ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry says the Rams biggest remaining need in free agency is an answer at the linebacker spot.
The Rams officially released linebacker Mark Barron last week and re-signed edge rusher Dante Fowler, but they are yet to shop around for an addition to the middle of the defense.
Here’s what Thiry had to say about filling Barron’s vacancy:
“At the outset of the offseason, it was clear this was a position in which depth would need to be built, with backups Ramik Wilson and Bryce Hager becoming unrestricted free agents. But then the Rams released veteran starter Mark Barron, which saved in their salary cap but created a sizable hole in their defense. Barron could return on a smaller deal, but the Rams continue to monitor the free agency market and could look to the draft to bulk up the position.”
Barron agreed to a deal with the Steelers on Monday.

TOP TACKLE
The Rams rolled out one of the top tackles in the league in 2018, in right tackle Rob Havenstein.
According to Pro Football Focus, Havenstein’s 84.3 overall grade was the No. 3 grade among all tackles.
