Rutgers defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph will be heading cross-country.
The Scarlet Knights defensive tackle was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday, coming off draft boards as the 195th pick overall.
It marks the first time since 2015 that Rutgers had more than one player selected in the NFL Draft.
On Friday, the Indianapolis Colts tabbed Scarlet Knights linebacker Kemoko Turay in the second round. Rutgers did not have a player drafted last year, and receiver Leonte Carroo was its only player taken in 2016.
Sebastian was a three-year starter on the interior line for the Scarlet Knights, finishing last season with 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2017.
A three-time Big Ten All-Academic selection, Joseph broke into the starting lineup as a redshirt sophomore in 2015, starting 12 games at nose tackle. He started 35 of 36 games over his final three seasons.
He is currently one of only three defensive tackles under contract with the Rams, joining Ndamukong Suh and Dominique Easley.
The Rams slected defensvie linemann John Franklin-Myers from Stephen F. Austin in the fourth round, before selecting Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, an edge pass rusher from Oklahoma, in the fifth round.
A native of Stroudsburg, Pa., Joseph was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, but did participate in the College Gridiron Showcase in January.
